Michael Steven Wallace

Mike Wallace joined Fort HealthCare as president & chief executive officer on June 26, 2006. Mike came to Fort HealthCare from Trinity Regional Health System, Rock Island, Illinois and Bettendorf, Iowa where he served as Vice President-Hospital Operations. Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Lucas County Hospital, Chariton, Iowa. He also held similar positions while employed with HealthSouth Corporation, serving as Chief Executive Officer of two hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a Master of Health Administration degree. He received his Bachelor's degree from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana. Mike has achieved Fellow status with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is Board certified in HealthCare management. He is a two time winner of the ACHE Regents Award-Early Career Healthcare Executive (1996 and 2001), and Iowa Hospital Association honored him with the Young Executive Achievement Award in 2001.

Mike currently serves as a board member with Jefferson County United Way, St. Coletta of Wisconsin, WHA Financial Solutions, Johnson Bank Advisory Board and ACHE- Wisconsin Chapter. He is also a member of the Fort Atkinson Rotary Club.

Mike and his wife, Kristin, reside in Fort Atkinson with their two daughters, Carly, age 12 and Meghan, age 10.

Mike’s interests include golf, biking, travel and reading.
