Andy Hillig

Andy Hillig is the Administrator for the Division of General Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In his role as administrator, Andy is responsible for administration and operations of the General Surgery Division of MCW which includes Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, HPB Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, and General Surgery programs. Prior to the Medical College of Wisconsin, Andy was Corporate Director of Operations and Staffing Efficiency for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare (WFH) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where his primary role was to serve as the project leader to senior management and departments, facilitating productivity management and operational excellence initiatives. Associated with his professional experience, Andy is proficient in improving performance and coaching on managing performance. Prior to leading organizational change efforts, Andy worked as a Medical Technologist for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and Dean Healthcare in Madison, Wisconsin.

Andy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Board of Directors for the ACHE Wisconsin Chapter. In addition, Andy has serves on the program committee for the ACHE Wisconsin Chapter and leads an innovative program aimed at developing the chapter’s early careerist – the Leadership Development Program.

Andy’s greatest achievement in life is his family, and enjoys spending his free time with his wife Katie and two young sons, Connor and Archer.
