Shawn Dryden

Shawn Dryden, Assistant Administrator Advanced Hospital Care and Operations, joined Sacred Heart Hospital (Eau Claire, WI) as a member of the Executive Leadership Team on September 29, 2008. In this role, he has been responsible for several flagship service lines: Neuroscience (including the Brain & Spine Institute), Cardiovascular (cardiac catheterization and surgery, cardiovascular diagnostics and rehabilitation) and Emergency/Trauma Services.

Most recently, Shawn was instrumental in Sacred Heart’s successful application and honor of winning the 2009 Governor’s Forward Award of Excellence, the highest achievement level possible under the Wisconsin Forward Award (WFA). He also serves on the LifeLink III Board of Directors (providing provide emergency helicopter transport services throughout western Wisconsin) and chairs the hospital’s Clinical Council.

Shawn received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the UW-Madison and his Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. For eight years Shawn was employed at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, a 489-bed acute care community hospital in St. Louis where he served as Director of Ortho/Neuro/Spine, Director of Campus and Program Planning and Director of Cardiac Services. (Cardiac Services were ranked Missouri’s #1 program in overall, and the #1 program for heart surgery by HealthGrades for two years.)
